GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION PARTNERSHIPS

MetalLignum is looking for partners to sell luminaires from the programs MetalLignum YourChoice and MetalLignum manufacturedideas outside Germany. For luminaire manufacturers from abroad, who want to sell their products on the German market, MetalLignum *Selection offers its own distribution channels. Read more about the background.


To be able to sell electrical products, manufacturers and distributors have to fulfill some environmental requirements. In addition to the registration of the packaging materials used, which is subject to a fee, the requirements for compliance with the WEEE Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) are of particular importance. Some of the fees are incurred independently of the sale of the products, i.e. even if no equipment is sold. MetalLignum is registered in Germany for two groups - small appliances (with maximum edge length up to 50 cm) and large appliances.

However, a sale outside Germany is unfortunately not possible with this and would also be uneconomical, since not insignificant fees and corresponding service providers would have to be paid in each country of sale, even if no or only small sales take place in one or the other country.

Therefore MetalLignum is looking for distributors abroad, who sell the MetalLignum luminaires to the common customers as importers and intermediaries. The prerequisite for this is that the distribution partners are demonstrably licensed and authorized to sell the luminaires for the respective country. The partners offer the MetalLignum products on their sales channels and trigger the orders to MetalLignum after receiving orders from their customers. MetalLignum sends the goods to the dealers abroad, who sell them as resellers to the ordering parties. In this process, the importer receives the margin between the wholesale price, i.e. its purchase price, and its selling price.

The intended goal is to build a network of smaller manufacturers of electrical equipment, which will thus gain access to the foreign market. Therefore, MetalLignum will also give foreign partners the opportunity to offer their products on the German market through the existing distribution channels via the MetalLignum *Selection program.
